Who we are

FlowSpot is a camera basketball training app from FlowTasks. This page covers the iOS app, the Android app, and flowspot.flowtasks.io.

Camera and video

FlowSpot uses the camera only after you start a training session, to track the ball, the rim, and your handles on the device. Front and back cameras are both available. The production app does not show bounding boxes or model names.

Session video stays on your phone unless you choose to save or export it. FlowSpot does not upload live camera frames to the server. Burned trail exports are optional and stay on the device unless you share them yourself.

Account

If you create an account we store the email you use (or the address from Apple or Google sign-in), a display name if you set one, and whether friends can see you. Signing in lets workouts, stats, coach history, and settings sync.

Session facts

When a session ends, FlowSpot can send session facts to our API: mode (shooting or handles), camera facing, makes, attempts, dribbles, and related counts. We use those facts for analytics, friends week scores, weekly reports, and the coach. We do not need the video to do that.

Coach and voice

If you ask the coach or request a recap, the text of that request and the session facts go through our backend. Voice, when you turn it on, is generated there and returned as audio. We do not generate voice after every shot.

Friends

Adding a friend uses their email to find their account. Accepted friends see a display name and week scores, not the email.

Purchases

FlowSpot Pro is sold through the App Store or Google Play. Those stores process the payment. We store whether your account is on the free or Pro plan so the app can unlock burned export, weekly reports, and the rest of Pro.

What we do not do

• We do not sell your training data.
• We do not use session video to train public models.
• We do not record the camera until you start a session.

How long we keep it

Account, session facts, and coach messages stay until you delete the account in the app. An operator can also remove an account from the admin desk. After that, the server rows for that user are deleted.

Your choices

You can refuse camera permission, train without an account, turn friends visibility off, skip export, and skip voice. To correct a display name, change it in the app. To delete your FlowSpot account and server data, open Profile, then Account or Settings, and tap Delete account while signed in. Videos already saved on the phone stay unless you delete them there.
